Our mission and services
The Pantry's primary objective is to help improve the lives of families struggling financially. Since opening its doors to the community in 1999, My Sister's Pantry has become one of the busiest food banks in the Tacoma area.

We are open three times a month to distribute groceries, provide a store where clients can "shop" for men's and women's clothing (unfortunately we can no longer offer children's clothing regularly), and serve a substantial hot meal.

My Sister's Pantry, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is an outreach program located in the First United Methodist Church of Tacoma with access through the alley. We serve local schools, supply other food pantries and support programs, and feed 350+ families and hundreds more individuals each month. Annually we distribute more than 125,000 pounds of food in addition to toiletries and other household goods.
